Adapt a recipe to the number of guests
Enter the original servings and the desired servings. The tool computes the factor and applies it to an ingredient quantity to show the result.

- Factor = desired ÷ original servings
- Scaled quantity = quantity × factor
- Factor > 1: scaling up
- Factor < 1: scaling down

Frequently asked questions
How do I scale a recipe?
Factor = desired servings ÷ original servings. Then multiply each ingredient by that factor. E.g. 4 → 6 people = ×1.5.
Does everything scale identically?
Quantities do. Cooking times, salt and spices scale less linearly — adjust to taste.
Can I reduce a recipe?
Yes: set fewer desired servings than original, and the factor will be below 1.
Which unit for the quantity?
Any (g, ml, spoons…). The factor applies the same way to all of them.
