Frequently asked questions
What are the formulas?
°F = °C × 9/5 + 32; K = °C + 273.15. In reverse: °C = (°F − 32) × 5/9 and °C = K − 273.15. The tool applies them automatically.
Why 273.15 for Kelvin?
Kelvin starts at absolute zero (−273.15 °C), the lowest possible temperature. A change of 1 K equals a change of 1 °C.
What is 100 °C in Fahrenheit?
212 °F — water boiling at sea level. 0 °C (freezing) is 32 °F, and 37 °C (body) ≈ 98.6 °F.
Is there a limit?
You can enter negative and decimal values. Conversions are exact; the display is rounded to two decimals.
