Frequently asked questions
What is a QR code?
A QR (Quick Response) code is a two-dimensional barcode that stores text, a URL or other data, readable instantly by a phone camera.
What is the error-correction level?
Levels L, M, Q and H restore about 7%, 15%, 25% and 30% of a damaged code. A higher level resists damage (or a logo) better but makes the code denser.
Which level should I choose?
M is a good default. Choose Q or H if the code may be printed small, damaged, or covered by a logo.
Is there a length limit?
This generator supports up to version 6 (about 130 characters at level L). For long text, shorten it (e.g. use a short URL) or lower the correction level.
Are my data sent online?
No. The QR code is generated entirely in your browser; nothing is sent to a server.
