Frequently asked questions
How are the fees calculated?
Most providers charge a percentage plus a fixed amount. Fee = amount × rate + fixed. For 100 at 2.9% + 0.30, the fee is 3.20 and you receive 96.80.
How do I receive an exact net amount?
Switch to reverse mode. To net 100, charge (100 + fixed) ÷ (1 − rate) = (100 + 0.30) ÷ 0.971 ≈ 103.30. You then get about 100 after fees.
Are the listed rates accurate?
The PayPal/Stripe values are common examples; real rates vary by country, currency, card type and operation (domestic vs international). Choose “Custom” to enter your actual schedule.
Why a fixed amount on top of the percentage?
The percentage covers proportional risk, the fixed part covers the processing cost of each transaction. That is why small amounts bear proportionally heavier fees.
