Frequently asked questions
What is the formula?
Total pay = rate × regular hours + rate × multiplier × overtime hours. Example: 20 × 40 + 20 × 1.5 × 5 = 800 + 150 = 950.
Which multiplier should I use?
The most common is ×1.5 (“time and a half”). Some hours are paid ×2. The rule depends on your country and labor agreement.
Monthly or per pay period?
Enter the hours for the period you want (week, fortnight, month). The result matches that same period.
Is it net or gross?
It is an indicative gross calculation: it excludes taxes and social contributions.
