Frequently asked questions
How is it calculated?
Required grade = (target − current × (1 − weight)) ÷ weight, where weight is the final exam’s share of the overall grade.
What if the result exceeds 100%?
The goal is not reachable with this exam alone: aim lower or raise your current grade.
What does a negative result mean?
That the target is already secured even with a 0 on the final.
Where do I find the exam weight?
In the syllabus: it is the final exam’s weighting, e.g. 30%.
