What is bionic reading?
A formatting that bolds the first part of each word. The brain fills in the rest of the word, creating fixation points for the eye that can make reading flow more smoothly.
Does it really make me read faster?
Effects vary by person; studies are mixed on the speed gain. Many readers mainly enjoy better comfort and fewer dropouts, especially on screen or when attention is hard to sustain.
What is the fixation setting for?
It controls how much of each word is bolded. A low fixation (30%) bolds few letters; a high one (60%) bolds more. Adjust to your reading comfort.
Can I keep the bold elsewhere?
